Dr. Prasad, is an experienced and seasoned surgeon who has carefully honed his approach to surgery over the past 15 years. His philosophy centers on the concept of minimal risk and maximal gain. All of his procedures are performed in the office setting under local anesthesia with occasional IV sedation. His goal is to perform a procedure that is efficient and safe with minimal downtime. Other surgeons state that the risk and time involvement for cosmetic surgery is comparable to that of a basic dental procedure.  We disagree with this comparison because one should not over-minimize the risks involved or under appreciate that this is still a surgical procedure on your face and eyes.

About Dr. Prasad: Dr. Amiya Prasad is the Medical Director of Le Visage Cosmetic Surgery with offices in Manhattan 's Upper Eastside and Garden City, Long Island . Dr. Prasad has performed thousands of surgeries and specializes in Cosmetic Surgery of the eyes and face and in liposuction.

A graduate of The Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City , Dr. Prasad received his specialty training by top surgeons associated with The University of Texas in Houston and Galveston as well as The Baylor College of Medicine. He is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and by the American Board of Ophthalmology and he is a fellow of the American Society of Ophthalmic and Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery and The American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery.

Dr. Prasad's work has been featured on network television news programs including Channel 4's Live at 5, The WB11 Morning News, Channel 7's Eyewitness News, Fox Network News as well as cable news programs like News 12 and several leading magazines and websites. He has written many well-received articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Prasad has been practicing in New York for more than 10 years. He teaches future surgeons at several institutions including SUNY Downstate Medical School where he is an Assistant Professor, Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital , Winthrop University Hospital and Nassau University Medical Center . He was formerly Chief of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at Brookdale University Hospital in Brooklyn , New York before leaving to work full-time in his thriving practice. He lectures and teaches colleagues regularly about cosmetic surgery.
